Kix Brooks hits the links at
Whispering Hills Golf Club
On Sunday, September 1, Kix Brooks from Brooks & Dunn came out for a round of golf with his Tour Manager Scott Edwards before his concert in Walkerton.
Darrell Day, General Manager of Whispering Hills, greeted them on the golf course with complimentary beverages and got autographs and many great photos which will be posted on their website soon.
When Darrell asked Brooks if his name "Kix" was a made-up stage name, he answered that his mother really did name him Kix one month before he was born due to the fact that "Kix" "was kicking his mother so damn much!"
The two were very nice people and said that Whispering Hills Golf Club "is a great little track" and commented that Kix's favorite hole on the golf course was the 550-yard, Par 5, Hole 14.
Kix told Darrell that he owns an equity membership of a private club in Tennesee where he is from and currently holds a 9 handicap. And in case you're wondering what Kix's score was on the links of Whispering Hills. . . he shot a 87.
